MAKATI CITY, Philippines – 19 August 2021 – FarmJuan, an agritech startup company in the Philippines, will be joining the Esri Startup program. It is the first Filipino company to join this exclusive global program focused on GIS technologies.

 

The Esri Startup program aims to help early-stage startups in building mapping technology and location intelligence into their products.

 

Focusing on the agriculture vertical, FarmJuan will be able to access new technologies and will help more Filipino farmers to increase the quality and quantity of their yields, monitor their farms more systematically, and use their resources efficiently.

 

By harnessing the use of geographic information systems (GIS) into its processes, FarmJuan will be deploying geo-enabled tools in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing agricultural data from different sources including on-field sensors, drones, historical data, and field observations.

 

“This partnership with Esri will enable us at FarmJuan to make geospatial-based farm data management easier, which then will be processed by our agricultural intelligence and analytics platforms,” according to Mr. Earwin Belen, Managing Director of FarmJuan. “FarmJuan also sees the value of using these technologies to attract more people, especially the youth, to agriculture so that we will be true to our belief that ‘every Juan can farm’.”
